William J. Whitesell

Bill’s chief academic field is theoretical physics, but he also enjoys teaching the laboratory portions of Physics I and II and courses in mathematics and astronomy. He is especially interested in the relationships between these fields and in their historical development.

In addition, he has a strong interest in the other natural sciences and shares the interests of his wife and five children. His wife has been a musician, a business owner, an accountant, and a teacher; his children include a nurse, a barber, a counselor, a mathematician, and a dog musher. As a result, he enjoys working with students with many different interests.
