Scholarly Interests
David is interested in the intersections of chemistry and biology, and in the applications of chemistry to everyday life. In particular, he is interested in organic and biological chemistry, food science, the chemistry of art, and in ways of communicating chemistry so that anyone can understand it.

An enthusiastic and occasionally skilled cook, David enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and improving his dishes with a combination of kitchen experience and a solid understanding of food science and organic reaction mechanisms. Never content to leave well enough alone, something’s always cooking, at home or at work.
