Scholarly Interests

Eli enjoys teaching a diverse student body as it requires an understanding of the many different ways that students think and learn. Her current research is focused on Tn- Systems of the Mathieu Groups.

Professor Nettles was recognized as one of Ohio's top educators in 2004 by Ohio Magazine. Additionally, she has been honored by receiving the Graduate Council Fellowship in 1999, the Presidential Scholarship in 1999, the Henry C. Miller, Jr. Endowed Scholarship, the Outstanding Research Award, 1999, and the Outstanding Teaching by a Doctoral Student Award in 1998.

Eli has been teaching at Antioch College since 2000.
