Reunion 2004

"REUNION 2004 was like a dusty book taken off the shelf. Flipping through the remindful pages and then putting it back very gently, well dusted, and on a more visible shelf, with some smiles and some tears but with no regrets."
Richard Knight '54

The 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and beyond met at Sam
Williams Eckenrode's '83 house on Livermore Street to celebrate.

Reunion 2004 was packed with opportunities for alumni to reflect on changes in themselves, the College, and the world. The class of 1954 chose to come in record numbers a day early to discuss how their lives have changed since they graduated. An Alumni Film and Video Festival was held in the Glen Helen Building to celebrate alumni who have been agents of social change through film and video. The alumni Association honored Coretta Scott King '51, Roberth Krinsky '57, Lillian Pierson Lovelace '51, and Paula Spier '45 for their wisdom, commitment and compassion. Brown vs. Board of Education was commemorated with a panel moderated by Steve Schwerner '60 and the full Renewal Commission report was unveiled. There were class photos, speeches, tributes, hikes, picnics and even a talent show.
