Harve E. Rawson ’57 recently published A Delightful Ordeal: Travel Tales That Teach. Rawson transports the reader to some of the most interesting travel destinations in the world and explains why they are so incredibly fascinating. Historical perspective, geography, cultural insight, and personal perspective all combine to make this far more than just another travel book. Dr. Rawson, a research scientist for Project Apollo, a psychology professor at Hanover College for 32 years, director of a children’s therapeutic center, a Fulbright Scholar in Bahrain, a dean of faculty at Franklin College, a radio broadcaster of two syndicated shows, and an author of five books, has traveled to over 140 countries to date.
