Antioch New England – A Dynamic Graduate School
By Eleanor Falcon, Director of Communications ANE

When Antioch New England Graduate School was founded in 1964, it was a small graduate school on a hill in Putney, VT – the first learning center established by Antioch University away from the University’s Yellow Springs campus. Its 50 students, primarily from VISTA and the Peace Corps, were determined to make the world a better place. Helping to support this mission were the Graduate School’s three faculty members and one secretary.

This unwavering commitment to social responsibility and civic engagement continues to thrive today at Antioch New England. This dynamic, innovative institution serves l,400 students on a five-acre campus in Keene, NH, with an administrative staff of 61 and a faculty of 89.

Its master’s degree programs in Applied Psychology, Education, Environmental Studies, and Management, and two doctoral degree programs in Clinical Psychology and Environmental Studies share an emphasis on experiential learning and reflective practice.

Antioch New England also houses research, training, and service institutes. In addition to providing consultation and projects to a national and international audience as well as the local community, these facilities serve as training grounds for our students, enabling them to become agents of change. Our institutes include Antioch New England Institute, Education By Design Program, Antioch Psychological Services Center, Center for Research on Psychological Practice, Antioch New England Multicultural Center for Research and Practice, and Center for Tropical Ecology.

Antioch New England’s scholarly, practice-oriented master’s and doctoral degree programs attract motivated adult students from throughout the world. They are drawn to a graduate experience that is distinctive, socially relevant, and academically rigorous. They join a community passionate about making the world a better place. Antioch New England links the worlds of scholarship and activism, fostering lifelong learning and promoting change.

We invite all Antiochians to visit our web site at www.antiochne.edu or call 603.357.6265 for additional information about Antioch New England.
