Recent
Antioch graduate Mike Hogan ’03,
a Social and Global Studies major, placed first in Ohio State University’s
Annual Public Policy Essay Competition. The contest is sponsored by the
John Glenn Institute for Public Service and Public Policy and the School
of Public Policy and Management at The Ohio State University. Essays had
to be written by full-time college juniors or seniors and were judged
based on relevance of topic, clarity and persuasiveness of argument. The
contest is highly competitive.
Mike’s essay, titled On
the Need for an Open and Free Society, won first place, an award
that carried a $2,000 stipend.
