Mike HoganRecent Antioch graduate Mike Hogan ’03, a Social and Global Studies major, placed first in Ohio State University’s Annual Public Policy Essay Competition. The contest is sponsored by the John Glenn Institute for Public Service and Public Policy and the School of Public Policy and Management at The Ohio State University. Essays had to be written by full-time college juniors or seniors and were judged based on relevance of topic, clarity and persuasiveness of argument. The contest is highly competitive.

Mike’s essay, titled On the Need for an Open and Free Society, won first place, an award that carried a $2,000 stipend.
