Student Reflections from the Field |
Underfoot By Edwin Granai ’54, Burlington,
Vermont Our elderly cat is always under foot. She's losing her sight and her hearing. Close proximity assures her of our presence. Age has challenged my sight and hearing as well. Thanks to trifocal lenses and digital hearing aids, my sight and hearing are fine. I do not need assurance of the presence of others. But I still want to be under your feet. Specifically, I want to be in close touch with Antioch College classes of the ’50s decade. I do not need to be in physical proximity, but I want to be in ready communication. Please send me your email address. My purpose is to keep you apprised and engaged in plans for next year's reunion. Upfront - a day-long session just for alumni of the ’50s decade. Using the rotating small group format, those of us about half a century beyond our student years at Antioch will take an in-depth look together at where we've been, where we are now and where we still want to go. It promises to be renewing and energizing. The date is June 24, 2004 at 8:15 a.m. Mark your planning calendar, and plan to arrive the day before. Send your email address to: egranai@aol.com.
Reunion 2004 Friday, June 25 through Sunday, June 27. Work Project Tuesday, June 22 through Thursday, June 24. Look for information on the web, in your mailbox, or email reunion@antioch-college.edu.
