Antioch Receives Mellon Grants

The Mellon Foundation recently announced that Antioch College is the recipient of two $50,000 grants. The grants will go to support the development of the College web site and the work of the Renewal Commission.

The first grant, awarded in January of 2004, goes to support an updated look for online College communications that is consistently maintained and enhances the work of Admissions, Public Relations and Development. The new and constantly evolving web site can be visited at www.antioch-college.edu. The grant funds the position of Assistant Director of Electronic Communications. Already the impact of this grant is clear, as the website is changing and developing every day. Check out What’s New on the Site and find out about current events—Reunion 2004, the Courage Exhibit, the Campaign for Antioch College, Sesquicentennial events, and much more.

The second $50,000 grant, awarded in February of 2004, will support the work of the College’s Renewal Commission. More specifically, it will fund focus groups of stuents, parents and educators to help with research and development. These are both prestigious gifts that will allow Antioch to move forward, continue making change, and attract future Antioch graduates.
