The Eco-League

Antioch recently joined a coalition of five colleges who share a deep commitment to the environment. Fellow Eco-League members are Green Mountain College, College of the Atlantic, Northland College, Prescott College and Alaskan-Pacific College. All Eco-League schools have strong environmental curriculum, environmental activism, and are working on becoming “greener” institutions.

The concept of the Eco-league began as a student initiative several years ago. Through the dedication of several faculty members and students, it was finally formalized last summer.

This coalition will give students the option of studying for a semester or more at one of the other Eco-League campuses, providing access to seven completely different eco-systems for study.

Through the dedication of several faculty members and students, the Eco-League was finally formalized last summer. This fall Jim Hormel of the Comunicators Group came to campus to record footage for a promotional DVD to be used to solicit foundations and enhance student recruitment efforts.
