- ANTIOCH BOARD AND UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP TO WORK WITH ALUMNI BOARD - -Aug. 27 news release

Letter to Alumni from Art Zucker and Nancy Crow (pdf)
August 28, 2007
Following an extraordinary and special meeting focused on listening to the Antioch community, the Antioch University Board of Trustees approved a resolution to work with the College Alumni Board to allow the Alumni Board to demonstrate, by the October 2007 Board of Trustees meeting, the financial and academic feasibility of the College Alumni Board’s proposal for the continued operation of the College.
It became apparent in December 2007 that the alumni financial support necessary to meet the Alumni Board's financial commitments under the Agreement in Principle will not be forthcoming. However, certain major donors have come forward to capitalize a new non-profit, tax exempt corporation to operate the college with its own autonomous board of trustees. The Antioch University Board of Trustees approved the December 6, 2007 resolution to explore the feasibility of transferring the College and the issues attendant to such an endeavor.
