Extension Naturalist
This outreach program caters to small classroom and group settings. Lesson correspond to state and national Academic Content Standards. Programs involve hands-on activities and usually include take home or continuing projects. They are designed for specific ability levels, and can be offered as part of a curricular unit or as a single event. Unique programs can be developed to address specific needs for a school or classroom.
Residential Outdoor Education Program
The Outdoor Education Center is dedicated to providing a program for both children and adults that seeks to develop their appreciation of the natural world and an awareness of environmental problems along with the ecological principles that influence them. The Outdoor Education Center in conjunction with Antioch College offers environmental education internships two times a year. Imagine spending an academic term as a naturalist intern, instilling environmental awareness with the thousand-acre nature preserve as your outdoor classroom.EcoCamps

Weekend Rental
The facilities at the Outdoor Education Center are available for weekend rental. We offer year-round accommodations, a full service kitchen, a large dining room and lodge. Organizations have used the OEC facilities for weekend business retreats, family reunions, church and school retreats, and weekend workshops. Naturalists are available by contract to provide natural history interpretation. Call our Office Manager for more information.
